Dear neighbor:
As the elected Supervisor of the largest district of America’s largest county, I’ve worked to attract new jobs to our area and keep the ones we have. I’m enacting reforms to fight corruption, and I’m ensuring that critical roads and highways are built and improved.

I’ve also given strong support to our local military bases. I’m helping add more than 25% to the capacity of our jails at a time when the state is shifting thousands of felons from state prison to local jails. And at the same time, I’ve increased deportations of illegal immigrant criminals from our jails after they’ve served their time.
Government has failed us on many levels. However, as a Marine Corps veteran, I refuse to back away from a challenge. The Federal and State governments are broken and need to operate more like local government, businesses and families where we can’t print money or spend beyond our means.
I have the right experience in the private sector and in local government to know the challenges our communities face. I have plans to tackle the many problems facing our economy and security.
Please join me in helping make the 8th Congressional District, California and America a better, safer and more prosperous place to live and work.
